Pretoria – Children’s Ministry

By Linda Primmer

The youngsters of the Pretoria, South Africa, Congregation ended 2002 in high spirits. Throughout the year they had been preparing gift boxes for underprivileged children. On 26 November they visited the Pretoria Academic Hospital and shared their gifts with the children in ward 20. A very happy occasion it was for everyone involved.

The following week, they entertained the congregation with special music after which a prize giving ceremony took place. First prizes went to Michael Goodwin, Michelle Burt, Michael Burt and David Pearce for regular attendance. David also received a special certificate of merit. Second prizes went to Michelle Pearce, Thando Msiza and Sfizo Mzisa. Kim and Gayle Vermaak both got third prize.

After the formalities the children enjoyed a puppet show with snacks and cool drinks. A helium balloon was also handed out to each. A special word of thanks to all those who helped to make the day such a great success.
